Why help support our mission?
There are many great ministries and missions in the world that can use funds to help support the work they are doing. We do not in any way see ourselves in competition with them but rather as co-laborers together with them, working toward building up the same Kingdom for the glory of the Lord. Therefore, the best thing to do if you have a heart to give for missions is to pray and ask the Lord to direct your funds. If you still have it on your heart to help support us or to donate to one of our projects, we are very grateful to the Lord.
Some of the reasons or factors why people help us are as follows:
* Supporting missionaries is Biblical. For example, see Luke 8:3, Romans 15:24, 16:1-2, 2 Corinthians 11:8-9, 1 Timothy 5:18, 3 John 5-8.
* This is the work of God, and God's people have a heart to support His work. The people of God love their God, and want to do what they can to make His name famous among the nations. We all want to be involved in a cause greater than ourselves, and by pooling our resources together and working together in the Lord's vineyard we can be most effective in reaching this lost generation for His glory.
* They believe in our mission. We are working to spread the Gospel in Mexico. Our supporters believe in doing what they can to make Christ known where He is not. Some of our supporters have a heart for Latin America and Mexico, and want to see the truth of God pierce the gross darkness which pervades around every corner in this place.
* They believe in the integrity of our work. The majority of our supporters know us personally and we have fellowshipped with them. They know our beliefs, our principles, what we preach, and our heart for spreading the Gospel.
* They want to be obedient to the Lord. The Great Commission is the heart of the Lord. His heart bled for the nations when His hands and feet were pierced to purchase sinners from every tribe and people. Every Christian is called to be a part of the Great Commission, and each one is either a goer, a sender, or a disobeyer. Those who don't go want to help support those who do, and thus share in the blessing that comes from their work.
* Their support enables us to do what we're doing. We live entirely off of donations from our brethren and friends, and this enables us to focus full-time on the work set before us and to devote ourselves to our mission. Without their support, we would not be able to live in Mexico and labor in the Gospel full time.
