Statement of Faith:
*The sole basis of our beliefs is the Holy Bible, God's infallible written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks, and through the Bible, God has preserved His authoratative, infallible Word throughout all ages as a light and guide to every generation (Psalm 12:6-7, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21).
* We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30, 1 John 5:7).
*We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven, earth and all creation (Gen 1:1); that He is absolutely sovereign, all-knowing, all-powerful, and declares all things, including the end from the beginning (Genesis 17:1, Psalm 139, Romans 9:18, Revelation 22:13).
* We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His eternal godhead (John 1:1-3); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9); His bodily resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16); His eternal reign at the right hand of the Father for ever (Hebrews 1:3, Revelation 21:22).
*We believe in the Holy Ghost Who is the Living Spirit of the Eternal God and the Counselor, Comforter and divine Helper of the Church (John 14:16, 26, 15:26-27).
* We believe that mankind is a fallen race and is by nature entirely corrupted and depraved because of the law of sin that gained dominion over the whole race through Adam's original transgression (Genesis 6:5, Psalm 51:5, Romans 5:12-19, Romans 7:18-23); that consequently man is of himself hopelessly lost, blind to his true condition and unable to save himself (2 Corinthians 4:4, 2 Timothy 2:26); that on this account there is an absolute neccesity for spiritual revelation and regeneration by the Holy Ghost and that all who are justified are declared righteous on the single ground of true faith in the shed blood of Christ, by His death and resurrection, and that only by God's grace alone are we saved (John 3, 5:24, Romans 3:23-24, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5, Revelation 1:5).
* We believe in the physical resurrection of both the just and the unjust; those who are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and those who are not unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29) to suffer the vengeance of eternal fire (Jude 1:7, Revelation 21:8).
* We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ which transcends worldly affiliations and denominational lines (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28), in the universal Body of Christ as the one true Church (Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:3-5, 5:23), and in the importance of the established local church in any given locality as an expression of the love of God and truth of the Gospel. However, we outright reject ecunemical movements that attempt to unite all denominations and professing believers while compromising essential truth (2 Thessalonians 2:3-15).
* We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30;5:18) by Whose empowerment the Gospel worker is equipped to do the work of ministry (John 14:12, Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8, 4:33, 10:38); by Whose anointing the believer is enabled to operate in the twelve distinct gifts of the Spirit outlined in 1 Corinthians 12:4-8; furthermore, that the gifts of the Spirit did not cease with the Apostolic age, but continue until the end of the current dispensation of the Church age (Mark 16:15-18, John 14:1). We recognize there has been much abuse in this area, but just because the devil counterfeits the work of God doesn't negate the fact that the genuine still exists (Leviticus 10:1-2, 2 Corinthians 11:14-15).
* We believe in the neccesity of the Christian to live and walk in holiness unto the Lord (Ephesians 1:4, 5:27, 1 Peter 1:15-16, Revelation 22:11); that through faith in Jesus Christ and on the grounds of redemption through His blood the Christian can be free from all presumptuous sin [willful, intentional, deliberate, known, persistant sin] and have victory over the power of the devil (John 8:34-36, Romans 6, 1 John 3:8); that without holiness no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14); that if presumptuous, known, willful and intentional sin is committed and persisted in without repentance then salvation of the soul is potentially in peril of God's wrath and very possibly proves one has never truly been regenerated (Hebrews 10:26-31, 1 John 3:3-9). We further recognize that none can say they are completely without sin in this life, or else they deceive themselves and the truth is not in them (1 John 1:8).
* We believe the Lord has established two ordinances for His Church to observe until His return: baptism and communion (Mark 16:16, Luke 22:19-20). We further hold that baptism is by immersion only and does not regenerate, but is an act of obedience to God and must be performed upon repentance from sin and faith in Christ; it is therefore the act by which the new believer publicly affirms to forsake all to follow Christ and to believe in Him unto salvation (Acts 8:12, 8:37, 10:47). Communion, or the Lord's Supper, is the eating of the blessed bread and drinking of the blessed wine, and is to be done in remembrance of the Lord's sacrifice; it is not physically the body and blood of Jesus, but it is more than a mere symbol; it contains spiritual power, unites the saints, and has many blessings when partaken of in faith, but can cause judgment as well when partaken of unworthily (1 Corinthians 11:23-30).
* We believe it is the mandate of the whole Church to go into the whole world and to preach the Gospel to every person and to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and teaching them to observe all the things Jesus commanded, until the end of the age (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20).
* This is just a basic overview of some of our very basic foundational beliefs. These beliefs will never compromise or change, as they are based on sound scriptural doctrine and are not open to debate. For a more thorough description of our beliefs, please consult your Holy Bible and read it.
